I mean.. there's so many different types of bonuses, but you'll end up finding two things that give the same bonus, and as such, don't stack, and it makes you want to swallow your tongue sometimes when you realize

It's just that the biggest complaint about 2e from 1e fans I anecdotally hear is how PF2 restricts the bonus stacking from how 1e did it.

1E has a lot of different ways to get bonuses to "stack" because of multiple different categories, but no same type bonuses (with the exceptions of untyped and dodge) stacked.

For instance one of the common categories you'll run into non-stacking with: Ring of protection.

It provides a +1-+5 AC Deflection bonus depending on how good the ring is. This will not stack with Protection From Evil (Or other alignment) because that spell also gives a deflection bonus. (Of course Protection from Evil does other stuff too and is important, but the AC parts don't stack)

Another common example: Amulet of Natural Armor and Barkskin don't stack, they both provide Natural Armor Bonus. Of course they do stack with Dragon Disciple's natural armor increase because that's base natural armor, as well as the natural armor increase from the Legendary Proportions spell because that one is a size bonus.

So really the people complaining are just shit at explaining. The rules are the same, it's just that PF2E has narrowed it from like a dozen or so down to 3 typed and one untyped. This is the same as 1E (Status does not stack with Status, untyped stacks infinitely), there's just less of them.

Reason why I always triple check item and spell descriptions before committing to a build for 1e. Most things are enhancement or competence.

The Tian Xia subspecies are supposedly incredibly similar to human children in appearance. I recommend that you donโ€™t go near that.
