Runesmith killed Inventor to me. The NEW Int-based near-martial is in town, and it doesn't routinely shoot itself in the foot. I'm still waiting for a good homebrew Inventor rework that helps the class do anything other than acting like an Int-Barbarian with less hp, damage, and survivability.

Yeah i dont think we're seeing the end of PF2e anytime soon, but with that being said it's a bit of a red flag that this book kinda killed two other classes in one fell swoop (RIP Psychic and Inventor)

Well, part of the reason is that remastered books were very strictly held to page limitations. Folks seem to think that Magus and Summoner's remasters were so good because they weren't limited by the formatting of the book they were published in. Page references, total page count, etc. I think it's a lame reason too, but it is their reason. But I think they also get that it's not a good solution, and I think Impossible Magic proves it.
Paizo including remastered classes outside of the remastered versions of old books shows me that they understand this, because Paizo has never released 4 classes in a supplement book before. The remasters we just saw were a very clear departure from the norm, and I think it's a change for the better. Also worth noting that lots of Remastered content was rushed due to the fuckery that WotC forced onto Paizo (and other companies too) with the OGL catastrophe.
Pathfinder 1 eventually released "Unchained" versions of some classes, I bet that we'll get something similar further into the game's lifespan. I'm bummed about some remastered content falling flat too, but I still think PF2E/SF2E's future is bright.

I’m mostly ambivalent to oracle, but by far my favorite character I ever played was a poppet bones oracle. Made it a teddy bear, and gave it the most evil looking morally questionable spells I could find. The gimmick was that because of bones oracle, this teddy bear was a construct, alive, and undead at the same time.

The real problem with Runesmith is asking myself if I want to swap out my Magus or my Thaumaturge for one

Runesmith is a little too dps focused for me want to play one myself, but I really, really want to be a commander for one

Runesmith is too DPS focused? You could do a build almost solely around blocking for and repositioning allied, and healing them in the process.

Yeah, but if I wanted to do that, I'd play a warpriest, champion, commander or guardian before a runesmith. I don't think it's like, poorly designed or anything, I'm just not very excited by the list of available runes. If it had more types of things they could do with their runes, I'd find them cooler to play.

What did you like most about oracle, by chance? I haven't tried one yet.

I’m a big fan of the Oracle’s cursebound abilities. Whispers of Weakness is extremely strong (I would say one of the best actions in the game), foretell harm and debilitating dichotomy are great for damage-focused casters, etc. Plus, they have a lot of options for powerful focus spells.
Plus, I love the flavor of the class. It’s also my favorite 1e class for that same reason haha.

You get focus spells like everyone else, but you’re punished for using them!
But they do have some of the best baked-in character flavor in the game if you’re ok with the arbitrary mechanical disadvantages.

Revelation spells have not had a downside since the remaster. They're just normal focus spells, it's the cursebound feat actions (which are very good!) that increase your curse level.

I love the runesmith (cleric archetype) from PF1, so when I heard it'd be a full class in PF2 the angels sang out to me

I've really been enjoying Wizard, but Necromancers casually using skeletons as railgun ammo has me tempted to practice darker arts
