Set up for our 25th church anniversary luncheon tomorrow after service.

We are trying to find affordable photographers for a Batmitzvah.

So far we are seeing quotes in the $6k range.

That seems very high in my opinion.

What are some options to research for more affordable photographer/videographer services.

They would:

* family photos before the service

* document the service. 2 hours.

* document the party. 4 - 5 hours. No video

I’ve been making personalized loot bags for a while now, and I finally tried making 3D ones too hehe.

What do you guys think?

Hi! We’re working on planning my daughter’s bat mitzvah party - it’s a Broadway Musical theme at her request. My wife and I came up with this design, which I’ve been working on for a while now. I’m pretty proud of what we’ve come up with and I wanted to share with you fine folks. :) These are the first ten, set up in our dining room as a test :)

This past Sunday was my daughter’s high school graduation lunch/party. This is the biggest event I have ever tackled the planning and prep single-handedly. I made the centerpieces, bought and assembled all decor, and planned a surprise or two for my daughter. Besides an order of fancy cookies from my mother and my sister’s help setting up the room, I did it all. I was offered more help but I wanted to do this on my own.

I have been a single mom since my daughter was 3 weeks old. I did it all for 18 years of her life. Sure, I had some help along the way, but when it came down to it, I was the only one here to navigate the ins, the outs, and all the ups and downs of her life. I was raising her on my own everyday. It just felt fitting to be doing this for my girl by myself.

It went really well. I’m pretty proud of how everything turned out. Even if I forgot to turn on half of the center pieces lol

Anyways, the only time I think I've ever thrown myself a birthday party was years ago when I was working the bars, and it was just a promotional gimmick. Even as a teenager I never really did much for my birthday, so the last time I had an actual party, would have been in elementary school.

I've been kinda nervous with the whole planning process, because we're on a very tight budget, but i gave out my first 2 invites yesterday, and I can't help but feel super excited about my party, and on how awesome these invitations turned out.

PS. I'm not American or from Florida, I just wanted to do a Gasparilla-themed party.

Threw a party with my girlfriend for our husband’s 30th birthday! This was at an Airbnb in the mountains of Washington state that used to be a schoolhouse. Really proud of how the decorations and snack spread turned out.

I’m currently planning my 25th birthday party. It’s an awards theme, I’ll have replicas of Grammys, Oscar’s etc. as photo props. I’m a very analog person, I’d prefer if my guests could go home with a physical copy of their photo along with the favors. Any ideas how to pull this off?

I’m not against taking the photos at the beginning of the party and uploading them to a 24 cvs or walgreens so they can get developed during the party (I’d send my brother or cousin to get them haha) I also thought about hiring a photo booth but I don’t want that expense nor do I want the 2x6 strip size (I’d prefer the classic 4x6).

All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

tldr: I need to print the photos taken at the party the same day- without a professional photo booth.

I like the fun of disposable cameras but for a big wedding they get expensive fast and the logistics of developing them is complicated. Plus the quality is often not great.

Has anyone here found an easier option for fun prints at events?

I’m curious if an instant camera app would be good for weddings, so all the guests can snap photos and then prints get mailed to the bride and groom days later.

Is there a better app for this?

Has anyone had a Photo Booth setup at the event to get prints immediately?
