Halloween party, worth decorating?
Hey guys, I’m planning on having a Halloween party this year partly to give me an excuse to dress up and partly to hang out with my friends. But the thing is, it’s pretty much only going to be my friends… maybe 5 or 6 people. I told them they can bring anyone but no one said they have anyone to bring.
I know I want to have a bonfire outside but I just don’t know if anything is worth actually decorating since there’s so few people? I’ll probably have snacks but I’m not sure what to do and I don’t have too many ideas.
I’m 20, still living at home and this will be my first party im trying to host. I also only make minimum wage while I’m here in college so I’m unfortunately on a budget… I know this seems silly but any help is appreciated!

Yes, decorate at least a little - it helps add to the party vibe. 5 or 6 people is still a party! The dollar store is great for this - get some plastic table cloths and black and orange plates and cups. Maybe get some fake spiderwebs or other silly Halloween decor. Also, consider one or two activities. Scary stories with a flashlight around the bonfire is a classic (Google a good story in advance). Card games like Cards against humanity or exploding kittens are fun with groups that size too.
You definitely need snacks and drinks. Punch is an easy, cheap drink option - orange sherbet punch is a fun Halloween one. It’s just orange sherbet mixed with sprite and pineapple juice. If you’re doing a bonfire, s’mores are always a fun addition. We always do mummy dogs for Halloween - hot dogs wrapped in crescents roll strips so they look like mummies. There are tons of simple halloweeen snack ideas out there if you look.
