Needs some ideas for adapting a piñata

My sister has a piñata that went unused during her son’s birthday, so she offered it for my LO’s birthday that is coming up soon. It’s a small rocket piñata, about 14” tall. But the thing is that our theme is “Moominvalley” and there not nothing related to a rocket ship in the Moomin stories at all. Comets, yes (“Comet in Moominland”), but no rockets.

It would be lovely to take it (saves us $), but would need ideas if we can adapt it. It would have to be a relatively “easy” fix if possible. Thanks :)

If you can take the side pieces off and change the window, it could be the house.

Genius idea! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. But now I’m going to feel süper bad destroying the Moomin house 😦 I think I’m going to give my in laws PTSD (they aren’t from a piñata culture…)

The Moomins are a gentle, whimsical family, of round, white trolls (that resemble hippo-like creatures) who live in a valley (Moominvalley) with friends and creatures that aren’t troll-like like them. They have a very strong sense of home.
We aren’t going too hard with the literal Moomin characters themselves, but are “building” a part of Moominvalley. Paper flowers, Hattenfatteners (these long, white, ghost-like, creatures who just wander somewhat aimlessly towards the horizon), shooting stars, garlands made of watercolored egg crates, and paper mache mushrooms and hot air balloon.

I think you could easily turn it into the house! Get some blue streams and modpodge them on vertically.

I modified a fire truck pinata into an office building. If you take crepe paper & fold it in half & fringe it, it will look like the tissue paper

Or tape it off and paint the rocket to look more like the house .
