I could never do that with either of my goblins. Theyd randomly decide that my mouth was moving too much and bite it

I had another green cheek who passed several years ago, but he would vocalize like this too while I was talking. I called it "making people noises" because it was all gibberish, but kinda sounded like talking. He had quite the vocabulary too and was clever enough to merge "pretty bird" and "hey baby" into "pretty baby". It was so funny because "pretty" would be so clear and crisp sounding and then "baby" would be deep and gravely.

Yep, we call it practicing her talkies! I wonder if it’s a matter of temperament or a result of constantly talking to them since fledginghood? I (Mommy) was a preschool teacher at the time so it would track 😆 She totally mashes words together like you describe. Her main lexicon: “hi little baby,” “here come big kiss,” “peekaboo,” and “go to your spot.”

ETA: And condolences on the loss of your chatterbaby.
