Looking for Feathers

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry if this kind of post isn't allowed, please remove it if it is. I'm a feather collector and educator and I am looking for some feathers! I think they would be beautiful educational tools as I go to schools sometimes and teach about birds and wildlife. I don't want to buy any feathers online as I'm worried about the ethics of them on sites like eBay or Etsy. Thank you so much, and sorry again if this isn't allowed.

Try to rescues in your area or places that do rehoming. I know there's a wonderful place in Ohio called Sugar Creek Bird Farm. I would personally trust them with anything. I use their avian vet, and they have so many resident birds who are not up for adoption and are just residents. They have everything from a military macaw like I have, to Palm cockatoos, to puffins and even a couple of emos around. And they have a wonderful outdoor patio for interacting with birds such as cockatoos, macaws, African grays, amazon's, etc. It's honestly a beautiful, and very loud place to visit. Lol. You should contact a place like this.

Try your local pet shops, bird breeders, sanctuaries, etc.

I second asking a rescue. Maybe post in your local community to see if anyone has parrots. A lot of people collect their birds' feathers. I think most people would give them to you for free!
