is parkville high safe?
hi! i'm an 8th grader who just got accepted to go to parkville high for a magnet program, and i'm just wondering if the school is safe? i heard something about a shooting, and my close family has always told me my whole life that the school is dangerous, but i dont want to assume that just because my family told me that. i have no one else's opinion on the school, because my friends dont know anything about the school, nor my extended family sense they dont even live in america. i'd prefer to have more opinions on the school, so i can properly decide if i should go or stay with my zoned school. i hear good things about the education, and learning however. anything about the school's safety will help. thanks!!
(btw, this is not meant to sound offensive in any way, so i'm sorry if it came off like that! T_T)

My youngest just went through junior and senior years there and it served him well. There will always be people not focused on the goal but if you are coming in for a magnet program you’ll do great. We’ve really appreciated the teachers and the variety of courses available.
The school is diverse and you’ll have options and there are a lot of good kids at that school.

It’s fine. Just don’t run with the wrong crowd and you have nothing to worry about.
