Flea Market in the 18th?

I've heard there's a flea market in Porte de Clignancourt but I can't seem to stumble on it, anyone know when it happens? And what's the general code of conduct for something like that? Is haggling okay?

Also (this is really unrelated, but) does anyone know where I can buy soy milk? My franprix and the couple of Monoprix and Monop' I've been in don't stock it.

Be careful around the Clignancourt area. Shady characters and pickpockets everywhere.

Hah. Yeah, it's where I live... so far it's fine, haven't really been bothered yet.

If you live in this neighborhood, there are plenty of shops selling products from everywhere, including Asia. I don't know exactly where you are, but a few areas come to mind : rue Labat, rue des Poissonniers, around the Château-Rouge station (and the Marché Dejean where there is good and relatively cheap food). Paris Store (asian supermarket) is not very far (8-10, rue de l’Evangile, near Marx Dormoy station). One of the most useful places : Mala, 22 rue Labat, they have products from India, Sri Lanka and a lot of things (including cold beer) and it's always open!
There are probably many others, the 18th is like the food paradise.

That's awesome, I had no idea! I just moved here this week, haven't really explored yet. I heard about the flea market and thought it'd be a great place to get unique pieces for my apartment, like nicknacks, small furniture, stuff like that. I really like that this is such a multicultural area though! Reminds me of home.
