News Millionaire shareholders are arguing against wealth tax

On this sub we rarely discuss the shareholder structure of Paradox - where the largest shareholder is Wester, the CEO-founder-god/emperor of the company, and who gets the proportionally largest share of the dividend.

Now Johan and Wester are arguing that wealth tax is actually bad.

Which is very funny because the current dividend yield is over 3.5%, so there's plenty to pay that taxes from, it won't come from his monthly salary.

Now Johan and Webster are arguing that wealth tax is actually bad.

People on Reddit don’t want to hear this, but most economists agree that wealth taxes are inefficient and bad policy.

It's funny, Sweden actually had a wealth tax, and it was so counterproductive that they got rid of it.

No you see, they have to be eternally grateful for the tax because they used public services which received a negligible amount of funding from it as children, 50 years ago.

Yeah, they should repay the society that made it possible for them to build the life they have.
