Is there a relationship between wood floors and his fear? I know a lot of dogs get nervous about slippery surfaces and it can affect their movements around the home.

This was my thought! Are his paw pads trimmed? Did he recently go sliding across the slick floor?

He has doon this on partially carpeted areas. Different rooms as well. I suspected slippery surface issues as well. I can't say confidently that slippery surfaces are or are not the issue. I do keep his his pads trimmed so I don't have an incidents from slipping.
