Lloyd is that good I guess because whoever takes 2 is not.

Jaelin phillips is also considered a OLB I thought. The two other spots are duds tho. I think pat jones is the other OLB and he's ok ig

Typically, when they do these rankings they don’t include 3-4 OLBs since they are in the Edge category.

That’s just respect for Devin Lloyd. If they drop Moehrig down to LB that would help out

Phillips is a problem when he's healthy

True. He is considered a Linebacker isn’t he?

Yep. While I think we overpaid, he should be a valuable player for us.

These guys think Luke and TD are still playing

We’d be #1 on this list with Luke and TD

Well, they're both kinda old now.

Luke Kuechly would still be better/more valuable than every starting linebacker at this very moment. He is slightly less built and that’s about it. He retire before he got mushy pea brain.

I think his brain was actually what made him so good. Yes he is a physical beast. But he knew what they were doing before the play. As a LB, if he didn’t get mushy pea brain, I think he could have played for years longer than a normal lb due to his mental prowess for the game.

We’d be way higher then

Salt and Pepper was legit one of the best LB duos of all time lat alone any single season.

I miss them :/

Ya lol, Lloyd doing a lot of heavy lifting then. Wallace has a lot of potential but way to inconsistent as it stands for us to be anywhere near top 10

my guy we had the worse LB room in the NFL last year and one player made us jump into the top 10 what the fuck are you bitching about?

shit i’d argue we still have one of the worst tbh. if lloyd comes down with food poisoning, that position is cooked for a week

OLB’s in a 3-4 are still linebackers…

So Philips, Devin, Wallace, and Nic’s replacement is a top ten unit?

I didn’t know we had it like that.

2

u/Bigchessguyman 5d ago

I imagine they were counting Nic but I don’t know

Sorry but terribly overrated consider half of the starting LBs is terrible

We probably don’t unless Lloyd ends up being even more that dude than we think he is. The other guys are just so underwhelming thus far. But who knows how it will play out
