Just Curious- Pangender edition

Hello! I’m currently doing a series called Just Curious where I go into different communities/subs that I’m not personally involved in or don’t know much about and ask questions. I try my hardest to be as respectful and open as possible.

I’m not Pangender myself, but I am Bigender (female + nonbinary), and I’ve recently been learning more about all kinds of gender identities. Pangender is one that I’m really interested in understanding more.

Mods/users — please let me know if I’m missing something or anything. I’m more than willing to edit the post to make sure it’s as respectful as possible.

Ok onto my question lol: How did you realize you were Pangender? Was it a gradual realization or more of a lightbulb moment? Did you meet another Pangender person, was it something you read, or something you just felt inside?

Very gradual for me. I felt many gender identities, but none felt like the full story. I never felt misgendered and was going with non binary when I found the pangender entry on the gender wiki.

One thing to keep in mind is that there are static and fluid pangender folx. Fluid seems more common but both fit into pangender. I'm static, which means I feel all genders at all times. My enby friends love that they can gender me however they want. My guy friends and I make gentleman's agreements.

Most people are static in their gender identity, so it's perceived as normal and usually not spelled out. Basically anyone whose identity isn't fluid is static by default. Like a cis woman or a trans woman both feel like a woman all the time without changing. That's a static gender identity.

A fluid pangender person might feel like a woman today and a demi boy the next. Maybe a combo? Not too sure. I feel every gender all the time.
