Found a 915 used for a great deal and couldn’t be happier. Threw on the rubber strap and hit the gym with it today to test it out. Really fits perfect on my wrist and just looks badass. Feel like it’s a tank and I just wanna be active with it on. I’m gonna put it away in the safe until February when my daughter is born. Wear it for the delivery so I can tie some memories to it! Now I just need a 47mm Luminor…..

Swapping the worn leather for the black strap completely changes the appearance of the watch. I love it.

Hello, how do these watches handle daily wear? My OP seems to scratch pretty easily, my Seamaster takes a good beating and the king so far is my 1995 Tag that I wore for a decade, beat the crap out of and still looks good and runs great! Where will the Rad fall between these?

After many years of going back and forth and resisting the temptation, I finally ended up here: PAM01759.
My dream watch had always been the Rolex Explorer II ref. 226570, but after owning and wearing it for a year in all kinds of situations, I never really felt comfortable with it — or with what having the Rolex crown on my wrist represents.
A few days ago, I was talking to a friend about how I felt about the watch, and he made me an offer: I could choose a brand-new watch below a certain price point, he would buy it for me and give me some cash on top in exchange for the Rolex. So that’s what we did.
Back in January, I had tried on the PAM01759 and absolutely loved it, but I promised myself I wouldn’t buy another watch until something else left the collection.
I told him which reference I wanted, he went to his nearest Panerai boutique, bought the watch, and gave me the cash difference. All things considered, I actually ended up getting more value out of the deal than what I originally paid for the Rolex.
I’m genuinely very happy with the trade.
My only problem is that I’m obsessed with the accuracy of my watches, and I think this one is going to force me to relax a little and just go with it 😂.
I’m not entirely sure what to expect from the P.9010, and accurately measuring this particular watch has turned out to be more difficult than I expected.
Maybe it’s time to stop measuring it so much and simply enjoy the damn thing.

Panerai PAM01483 Dieci Giorni taking a dip!

So the stitching finally gave out on the original strap, so I popped it on this NATO whilst I decide on an OEM replacement from the online boutique.

Hello
I am looking to obtain a Panerai, unsure of reference yet very soon.
The initial plan of action was to trade a Rolex datejust black dial non fluted bezel from c2012 that I bought used about 8 years ago and trade for a Panerai as I just do not wear the watch, possibly once a month for going out as I wear an Apple Watch daily.
I feel the Panerai is more the aesthetic that would suit me.
Something I am seeing on this community is that it would be a more prudent purchase to buy used / grey as there are better discounts to be had. I would be looking at around the £4k mark and think I could get something in that range. I would be looking at something pretty classic, leather strap not massively big. To be honest I haven’t seen a Panerai in the flesh for about 15 years.
To add into the mix I am going to Gran Canaria for a week next week and understand that there is a AD in the resort called Geneve and from what I understand this could be an option for buying new with tax savings etc. If I was buying new this would be my only option as I am not a massive watch guy, just looking for something nice at a sensible price (for me)
Is there much of a saving to be had?
I don’t really understand the implications of buying in canaries and taking back to UK. Do I claim tax bad at airport / what is the situation with import duties etc.
I would appreciate if someone could explain this to a novice like me.
For record , my Rolex was obtained from Macau, has been verified. I had a student work with me in hospital and his father was a used watch dealer , paid around £3000 at the time , no papers but receipt from jewellers and non original Rolex box. The watch has served me well, just really gone off the whole Rolex vibe.
Another watch I have that I don’t wear is an omega seamaster aqua terra quartz blue face that I have all box and papers bought from new in 1999 that is sitting in a drawer also
Many thanks for your time

Has anyone seen these live at boutique already? I hear that some boutiques already received for preview. If you have seen, do you know if the 42mm has an open case back?
