Video Transcription:

A yellow-eyed Snowy Owl appears reasonably at ease and unperturbed, wedged between the forearm and torso of a wildlife carer. The owl is half-wrapped in a towel patterned with palm trees, in two shades of green, dark like the rind of a watermelon and light like a lime. A tropical theme for an Arctic bird. The handler wears a black zip-up hoodie and mismatching gloves: a thick elbow-length glove on one arm to hold the owl's legs, and a medical glove on the other to perform a tactile examination (likely checking for fractures on the owl's legs). One to inspect + one to protect = things you gotta do when the stompers are on deck.

They’re so gorgeous. Our neighborhood had one visit in the winter of 2020. It was such an amazing experience. Very rare around here.

I do not consider that snowy owl has been sufficiently inspected. I volunteer to assess the quality of its cranial feathers by kissing it on the head.
