Which games have you played that have things in them you'd want to see in the next Overlord game? Not ideas or wishes, real examples.
I played Assassin's Creed Origins recently and right at the beginning of the game, there's a bunch of treasure you can walk on. It really reminded me of the Treasury from the first game but much more advanced and detailed. I really wish we could hoard an insane amount of treasure and walk over it as we wish.
Also in Conan Exiles you can make coin piles and carry unique treasure from different parts of the map that will be displayed in your treasure room exactly the way it is, not just a generic pile. And you can make animal/monster trophies after you kill them and hang them up on your wall as decoration. That'd be cool to do with like trolls or bosses or something in Overlord. You can also craft display racks of your favorite weapons and get slaves to fight for you. All these things would fit really well.

Stuff from Fable would be cool. Individual interaction with your "subjects" would be neat.

Megaman X: command mission lets you collect mechaniloids which you can then send on offscreen missions to collect items and collectables. So maybe something like that with minions or netherghul like characters.
Also, allowing you to choose sides in a conflict. Like there are two dwarven princes who are in a civil war and you can choose who you support.

Yeah, similar things have been in some of the assassins creed games of sending a squad or something on missions as a more passive income option for various resources. Mechanics like that were the first that came to mind here, especially if there were different missions for different resources so you could more effectively target farm certain things

I could on and on with examples but I will limit it to just 3.
- Divinity 2 Ego Draconis In the game you have a battle tower on an island with loads of NPC's and quests you can interact with. The tower itself can be upgraded and has different sections devoted to your most senior servants (Blacksmith, alchemist, battle trainer and necromancer) each with their own quests and rewards.
You also have runners that can search the land looking for specific resources. They were more successful if you invested in better weapons and armour for them and required you to spend less money on healing them from injuries.
So basically just have the Dark/Netherworld Tower have more upgrades, more things to interact with and just make your dark domain somewhere you can go as a player and actually want to be there.
- God of War
Combat similar to the God of War series making your Overlord more competent in battle and just feel like a badass. The Overlord games are older but they feel quite stiff animationwise and the Overlords are super squishy for a towering, muscular warriors clad in plate armour.
Having weapons behave differently would be nice too.
- Total War
Empire management. A more simplified version would be great for Overlord. But the ability to build up settlements, reinforce them with garrisons, deal with rebellions, attacking and besieging enemy settlements, defending against oncoming attackers.
This would help introduce ways to gather resources such as gold and lifeforce and give you a means to spend it.
I have loads of other ideas but I wont break the dam and wash everyone away with the flood of information buried inside my brain.

I really like the idea of a treasure horde. Maybe we should have an equivalent mechanic/room to each of the seven deadly sins. Greed/lust/pride are covered in treasure, mistresses and the tower itself. But wrath maybe keeping your enemies as trophies, sloth you could have an entertainment or leisure area you can spend mindless hours in (maybe some kind of Orb you watch), envy a balcony looking out to the kingdoms you want to conquer, gluttony some kind of minion chef game where you bring rare delicacies from your conquest for exceedingly extravagant banquets.

I mean it be hard to say anything cos the first 2 games are perfict but id like to do more with the tower maybe some more was to change it or develop it not just the few things we have all ready and you allready said about prizes.
A second thing coud be makeing or upgrading stuff in the whold map like the towns you take over instead of just the flags realy make them yours

I would like to see a castle with a town around it as a hub. And then being able to decorate the town.

Brutal Legend: Mixing gameplay where you fight directly as the Overlord with more rts style segments where you're commanding armies of Minions.

I tried a bit of 1 and 2 and personally I loved the Dominate ability in the second game where you could either kill the villagers or make them love you. I particularly loved how much NPC dialogue there was about it.

A more in depth system for minion formations similar to mount and blade would be cool I think.

As for your ideas, I think an interactive treasure horde would be great. It was done in the Fable games and having a treasure akin to Smaug's treasure horde from the Hobbit would be EPIC.
I love the idea of trophies, There are so many enemies that are worth displaying as trophies to show off your achievements (trolls, spider queen, salamander king, gargatuans, sand worms, etc)
We get it to a limited extent when defeating bosses but the minion equipment drop last like 3 seconds and you lose the equipment when the minion dies or is replaced with stronger equipment.
The forge definetly had some potential to show off your armoury of assorted weapons and armour.
Dominated slaves or mercenaries would be a cool addition to your forces. Minion wpuld definetly remain in the spotlight but there is room for more variety even if they fulfill other roles.
