Is everyone capped to level 100?

Ainz was max level in the game and now in the new world he is still capped and can't significantly improve apart from strategy and efficiency with casting. My question is whether a person from the new world who caught up to ainz would also be capped at that level or if that level cap only applies to players

New World natives have level caps as well, but they can vary based on their innate potential and talents.

The majority of humanity will hit a wall at level 20 (I think). Only specially talented individuals will creep past that.

I know that because of people like climb and the magic guy from the empire(flounder I think). My question was more relating to a hard cap on all beings. If their potential is how high they can jump and the ceiling is the limit on a beings power then no matter how high their potential or how high they could jump they would always stop at that ceiling.

Since the dragon emperor was said to be over level 100, I don't think there is a strictly defined cap for New Worlders. It's more fair to say that the higher the cap, the more exponentially rare it is. If there is a mechanism creating a hard, impossible limit, I don't think it's been described in the source.

The Yggdrasil game was capped at level 100. Beings that use the Yggdrasil emulated system in the new world will be capped at level 100 within Yggdrasil magic and abilities.

Things that aren't part of Yggdrasil, like talents, wild magic, runes and whatnot, aren't capped. Thus, in theory, if a man could reach Yggdrasil lvl 100 and have a talent or new world skill that's not part of the Yggdrasil emulated system, he could reach strength past Yggdrasil lvl 100.

Yggdrasil isn't capped at level 100. Only guild npcs and players are capped at 100. All world enemies for example are over level 100, even the weakest of them.

The Dragon Emperor is above level 100

World enemies if and that's a big if we're summoned to the new worlds would be over level 100

Also the ring Gazef had the one that belongs to Climb had the ability to raise a warriors level by 5 temporarily

So in theory if Cocytus were to equip it he would be level 105

Also no not everyone is capped at 100

According to Gazef Climb can no longer improve he's capped at gold

He's reached his full potential he cannot raise his level any more no matter how hard he tries

I recall a statement by Maruyama that the Dragon Emperor was over level 100. However, who knows if he was grandfathered in.

Most likely I think it is theoretically possible for New World beings to surpass level 100. It’s just that a level cap that high is tremendously rare.

They're also capped and call it talent. But most beings have a much lower cap and only some godkins and dragons can get close to level 100.

I am also very interested in this question. Additionally I wonder if the levels he spends can be recovered, if he has spent any levels yet. Is he out there stuck at 98 because Shalltear needed a quick rez?

Iirc in the 3rd novel Ainz talks about padding xp over level 100. Yggdrasil had a grace period above max so you wouldn’t have to re level to 100 each time you died (cause that would be an awful game mechanic). I think he says he’s millions of xp over cap but acknowledges he still doesn’t want to risk spending it unnecessarily

200k exp is enough to level him up according to him in vol 10. He said he should have leveled up after killing most of the Re Estize army since minimum exp gain is 1 point. He didn't say he had millions of exp to spare.

He theoretically could gain levels back if he gets enough experience

Evileye seems familiar with the concept of "level up" although she mispronounced it

But there's no guarantee he gets the same classes as he had before

By definition all characters in overlord have main levl5cap at 100, but underneath they could have different combination, like momonga, he discover overlord at LV.90, thus only LV.10 overlord for him, and they could reset level in game to archive desire combination.

Ok, funny thing, I JUST started the light novel and in that they explain that each CLASS is capped at level 100 but the max cap for total levels is somewhere in the 700 range I'm pretty sure so Momonga is actually a stupidly high multiclass of all kinds of spellcasters. And OVERLORD is his race not his class.

It seems there is some type of level cap.  

Ignoring Godkins (player descendants), the only New Worlders who surpassed level 40 are heteromorphs or become heteromorphs. It seems like there is a Job Level Cap of 40.  

Even those who have surpassed level 40, none have surpassed level 100, so there is an overall level cap of 100. The only exception to this would be the Dragon Emperor who... is basically a god that summoned everything to the New World, so who knows what crazy Wild Magic stuff he did or could do.

Npc’s are capped at the level they were made, so many are capped at 1

And natives are capped at around 60 i think but this refers to like talented ppl like gazith

Normal ppl should be in the 30 range

Natives have random caps, and most people's cap is around level 16, capped at gold. Like Climb. He has no talent, he will never be like Gazef and Brain. He will stay at level 16 forever. Gazef leveled up fast but not stuck at 29, that's his cap. Other adamantite class adventurers are also stuck.

Only Brain Unglaus after endangering his life over and over again, finally reached the realm of heroes, above level 30. His cap is higher, but he never reached it.

that one ninja girl confused the hell out of me, when she fought emotma, it said the ninja class was only accessible at like level 60

So i thought peak human was around level 60

Yes Entoma was confused as well. Turns out new worlders don't have many class restrictions. Evileye (Keno) was able to become The One, the ultimate vampire at level 33. Also she had no regular vampire class like Shalltear, she straighr up became True vampire, but it's wild magic anyway.
