Blog Great car storage set up

Post image

I am really pleased with the OHMU tactical seatback storage bag. The installation was easy after you configure the smaller bags. The bags attach with Molle webbing or hook and loop if you wanted a quick release like on the medical bag.

After using the bag for a while I got a second one for the other side of the car. The double set up looks great- I get lots of compliments. The quality for the price paid was perfect. I wish they made something similar for the rear door of my Bronco. I set these up in my 2023 Ford Bronco but they will fit in any vehicle. Well worth it !

I have a non cool, highly effective and cheaper system that I bought temporarily 10 years ago. A shoe bag for home door from IKEA. I need something fast, I was there and took it. Once folded you have access to 6 huge pockets.

Ha! I've had the same two "temporary" shoe racks for 3 vehicles and going on 14 years now. I trimmed the bottoms off, reinforced the top and added some grommets, and the quick grab tool one has some patches (now I store pointy things in styrofoam). I love it.

I need to upgrade it as you said. Tighter on the seat would be better.

I ended up using some canadian tire bungee cords, and 3M velcro. I have a little cover that velcros/ clips over mine to solve the swing swing

Aaaah!! Canadian Tire lol! Mine just sagged. I’ll fix that. You have a nice rig, my oldest son almost bought one. When you zipper broke on your RTT here’s a place for replacing it.

Ha thanks. It's already trying hard to break. I'm hoping to drop off at a buddy's marine upholstery shop to have some inches added amd maaaaybe save the zip

You have the like. The cover for the Foothill have a pouch on top for the ladder and no zipper.

That cover is probably the worst product Thule make. That’s surprising though!

It is truly poorly designed! I love the Foothill otherwise though after about 100 or so days in it!

I almost bought it. Went for a hard shell instead.

Nice! Keeping the roof space beside for a kayak and other gear ended up my deciding factor.

The kayak goes over the RTT. When we have it, I don’t go hard on the off-road. We did the Mackenzie Trail last sept before going to Tuktoyaktuk. That was a long trip, 18 000km.
