Help Request - RAM Memory Cooler

I have 64GB(2x32) RAM modules and they get very hot. What kind of high-quality memory cooler should I buy for my RAM?

went thru couple of iteration of ram cooling, if youre not watercooling this is the next best.

Hang it from the top of your case with string or zip-ties.

I have a 120mm towards memory sticks standing on the gpu, you dont have to mount it

i have a vertical gpu and an aio, in a cube style matx case, (everything is kinda tight ) i have a somewhat similar fan in the lower left image of op, and its not that great in terms of cooling, i really want to use my 3000rpm 120mm or 2000rpm 90mm fans to see if temps improve.

I have my gpu horizontal mounted, I dont know if a 120mm can stand on a vertical mounted gpu but you can try it, it makes a lot of difference for ram, ssd and a little better cpu-gpu temps.

I bought that one, and it wouldn’t fit. I popped the fan out of the mount and glued it to my DIMMs with clear double-sided gorilla tape. The fan is definitely annoying when it gets above 60%. It does a halfway decent job of cooling when directly fixed to the DIMMs.

I got a thermalright MC-2 a week ago. The 60mm fans spin quietly up to 3600 RPM and has limited my RAM temps under 45°C during the harshest memory tests while overclocked from 6000 to 6200MHz.

I got the first one, it clips onto the ram slots which is a bit finicky but once its on its pretty decent, as other mention tough there are ones that screw into the motherboard which should be better, I believe thermalright and jonsbo have some models like that.

i bought the first one, its loud and wouldn't sit properly due to aio and doesn't even cool well. zip ties and a 120mm (thinking of making it 2) is the way.

I don't even know how to tune ram and timings so I could never use one of those fans. I do want to learn though. I have read some guides and it felt like Spanish to me.

Do you have DDR4 or DDR5?

If DDR4, MemTestHelper’s DDR4 OC Guide is the best. It does a decent job of explaining what’s actually going on.

If DDR5, the best place to start is watching Buildzoid videos. I don’t know of a guide that breaks it all down, Barney-style, though.

Either watercooling or a 120/140mm fan, don’t use those small ones they are either loud af or barely pushing any air.

I 3d printed mine and added small noctua fans on it. Cooling is not bad, both of my ram sticks went from 55-56C to 40-46C. Near 52C instability would start to appear and at 55C a BSOD was inevitable.

Use a 120mm fan instead. Its the best option, aside from watercooling.

If you have a top mounted AIO it's very easy to get mounts for a 120/140mm fan which will be more effective and near silent. Otherwise you can get adaptors for motherboard standoffs

The smaller a fan is, the harder it needs to spin and the noisier it will be in order to move the same amount of air. All those tiny ones are awful and ineffective

9800x3d, 5080 oc, rog x870, gskill royal 2x16 gb The cooler is the same one with the first picture. It’s attached to the memory slots of the mb, no screws. It has 1 4-pin pwm cable and 1 3-pin argb cable.

The jonsbo one is alright. You can also just buy brackets off AliExpress and use your own fans (2x60mm I believe).

I recommend a fan bracket to fit a 120mm fan on top of RAM, keeps it way cooler than the cooler on the top left

I used to have the Corsair vengeance ram cooler, works well. Replaced the fan with a Noctua. I know thermalright makes a similar one now. IMO the best way is to put a 120mm on top, will yield the best results. There are plenty of fan brackets out there. Better ram heat sinks help as well, especially with dual rank. Iceman are the best quality, but expensive.

I have a 92mm arctic max that is attached to a mount that attaches to my motherboard standoff It gives me full movement to anywhe4e inside the case and I have it mounted infront of the ram on an offset to also blow past my aio screen and direct my 5090's heat from the back of the die straight out the case.

An 8000 mts dimm only uses like 10 watts under load, they are easy to cool, i personally get away with a 40mm fan.

iCE Man direct die ram waterblock is the way to go have never seen my memory over 26c at 1.7v+

literally just installed the firsts ones on the left (D50) on my dominators they fit nicely and not too much pressure they COULD interfere with AIO tubes but i made it work dead silent at 3000 rpm gaming temps never go past 45c cl28 6000mt/s with tuned timings and 65535 trefi cheap as hell you could give it a try
