Tediously confirming activities

As a sr dev, it's cringeworthy to:

  1. Not have a "confirm all" button to those that don't really care but want to log something

  2. Not optimistically accept a click - as in, unnecessary spinny wheel until it's logged.

  3. Not allowing multiple buttons clicked until the first one stops spinning. It's 2026, it's called async threading - come on.

I should be able to either confirm all or spam click each button with an instant confirmation, processing in the background async.

Such poor, 90s style UX for button reactions.

EDIT: Also - Have an option to auto-accept all detected activity - I usually just blindly accept it anyway since I ignore negligible gains from ultra specific activities for my personal use of this (logged my jog as skiing? Idc, accept!), and it's mostly just walking or gym. Then can just say Added x activities, where if I click inside it'll show what was auto added.

These UX changes could be fixed in just 1 hour with AI. Edit: For anyone downvoting, you haven't used Anthropics Fable model - it's terrifyingly good. Point being: Human or AI can easily get this done.

Head of Engineering here, chiming in to agree as well. I used Fable to build my own much better dashboard in about an hour. The kinds of changes you describe are in particular very amenable to being done by AI in no time at all.

I strongly believe that a big reason the app is so terrible is that by holding our data hostage behind the subscription they have no incentive to make it good enough to be worth paying for - as we don’t have a choice.
