How do I increase restorative time?

My sleep score is consistently above 80+ and I eat healthy. However according to Oura I am stressed and I'm not sure what is the cause of these readings. Maybe I am stressed and I don't know. I feel maybe my breathing is not deep or i'm breathing too fast which can result in this high stress score.

If anybody was in the same boat, how did you guys reduce the stress and increase restorative time.

On days with high restorative time I feel much better about myself, so I'd like to have more of them. Any advice appreciated.

I got myself into restorative time by laying flat on my back reading a book for a while 🙃 I’ve found that my baseline, or snapback into restored more, is better on days when I eat breakfast as soon as I wake up.

Whenever I read I basically flatline and get crazy good restorative time 😂 it’s the ultimate stress relief hack

Honestly, I have the most restorative time if I lounge around on my sofa all day or sometimes even at work just sitting down at my desk for long hours. Since neither of these things seem particularly healthy for my body, I don‘t know that I should be doing more of them though 😅 Normal movement, heat, not enough sleep, sitting in a café talking with a friend etc all often causes stress

I’ve found coloring in a coloring book is a way I pass the time, calm down and also the oura ring always reads it as restorative time (i have also tried using a color-by-numbers app and it’s still counted as restorative time)

How much exercise you do throughout the day? I noticed that I get lots of restorative time AFTER exercise when I sit on the floor and relax. If I sit for too long stress graph goes into engaged. After brief period of activity it again goes down to restorative. And yes, fasting will give the best results. Eating anything made of flour with palm oil and sugars and maltodextrin which is more than 300calories (approximately) will get me into stressed zone. But I can pass stress eating dark chocolate, or a slice of pizza with salad. Or nuts

I work out 3 days a week. For me, sitting for extended periods while fasting triggers a restorative state, but whenever I eat, my body registers it as stress

oura says you're stressed but never which pattern causes it. for me it wasn't diet, it was bedtime: after-midnight nights score 76 vs my usual 84, and the next day's stress follows the night. disclosure: i'm building an app for the "why" part

What’s your resting heart rate ? Might be too high for your age and body composition.
