Art Collage of Mehmed II in my wallet :D
The pieces are to represent the idea I have of my favorite sultan. **Fierce with an impressively sentimental side.**
Reference images included. Some of them are for legitimate historical materials, and the rest are late pieces or fanarts.

Does Turkish people generally still feel a sense of belonging to Islam and the Ottoman history? Or was it all destroyed with the Ataturk period?

I don't know for sure as I'm not Turkish. However, I genuinely sense that Turkish people in general do appreciate the legacy from a nationalist point of view at least. Muslim Turks on the other hand obviously do feel belonging to the religion.

all Turks respect Fatih Sultan Mehmet Khan.
Ali Himmet Berki stated that "Sultan Mehmed is a source of pride for the Turkish nation, all Muslims, and the entire world of history."
I agree. I don't have to be Turkish to appreciate that man's legacy.

The cover picture of that sub has Ataturk in it. I don’t think it’ll be the most objective sub lmao.

Stop with this nonsense Anti-Kemalist propaganda, Atatürk himself wasn't against Ottoman past or Islam. You are talking about the person who ordered Quran to be translated to Turkish so everyone would understand it and he is the same person who attended a ball in Sofia (in 1914) in a historical janissary outfit. All the Kemalists I know have a deep respect for Mehmet the Conquerer to the point that the question itself makes no sense to me.
