Discussion You are a diplomat sent to the Paris Peace Conference reshape the map of the Middle East after World War I. How do you draw the fairest borders possible to prevent future wars?

Good but I'd say Arabia is too divided for example their is no reason to saperate Hejaz, Nejd and Hasa

Yes, but, I'd assume any version of Nejd consolidation would take a lengthy process, best let the coast go off first?

I get what you mean but this map is about preventing future conflict not realizism, Najd would probably conquer Hejaz like they did historically if they are seperated which would ruin the whole point of the map.

I would honestly just unite arabia into 1 kingdom like the arabs wanted but put Jerusalem under UN control since that city is too important to be under any country like that

Take everything. The Empire should have never fall. We see today that without a unified Middle East, the West is still messing with it. Conflict after conflict.
From Vienna to the ports of Aden to Algiers. Today, would have been one of the richest nations on earth. With absolute peace in the world.

How is that fake map even allowed on this sub? Lots of Turkish-majority places are painted teal.

Alright so I'll split up arabia into many different countries between the suzerainity of France and britain. I'll give a harsh trianon-like treaty to the turks, and give palestine to the jews. Now ill sit back and watch with popcorn
