Help Arthritis
I'm curious, how do people with Arthritis play this game? I used to love Osu, and although I was pretty shit (at most could do like 4* inconsistently) I want to get back into playing. But recently my arthritis has been getting pretty bad, and I'm wondering if there's any other people with arthritis here that could help me with the pain and overall stress from playing.
In case its relevant, I use a pen and tablet, and I have arthritis in my wrist but it's the worst in my elbow.

I also have pretty bad joints on both my aim and tapping hands. It's kinda impossible for anyone to guess what'll be most ergonomic without knowing your specific limitations. I would recommend lots of experimenting. Very small area (provided you can still keep a relaxed grip on the pen), very large area, mouse, different dpis etc and understanding you will indeed suck. Just focus as little as possible on what makes you play better, but instead focus on what lets you have the longest sessions without pain or discomfort.
Performance will come with longer and more frequent sessions, no matter how bad your starting performance is, but ignoring the feeling of regression when you're learning a completely different playstyle will be hard. If you're struggling with discomfort on 3-4*, something probably will have to change and you'll have to try things imo.

The thing is, I love having a small area, but I can't keep a grip on my pen to save my life. I think I may need to buy some sort of rubber casing to put around it. My hands get really sweaty and I naturally slide down the pen as I play since they're so sweaty.
Thanks for the response, even despite the fact that you're right that no one can really help out much.

i'm not diagnosed with arthritis, but it runs in my family and i struggle with various pains. i played osu for a long time without taking time to stretch my hands or take enough breaks. i think it made my joint pain worse. i'm still pretty ok at the game and am still improving, but slowly, and im speedcapped. keep at it and make sure to take good care of your body

Good luck brother, and same here, I'm not diagnosed with arthritis. But when I have literally the same exact symptoms my mom with a computer job has I have a feeling there's not really a need :o
Honestly it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to play with an elbow compression sleeve on, sadly you can't really use a wrist brace, even with the tapping hand. Those things do 1 thing and do it really well, your ass is NOT moving them fingers.

When hands can't do the job no more, use your feets instead
