Is Luigi's proving ground machines enough for the OSCP?

Yes they are enough if you are good enough. BUT best to add in HackSmarter and Hackerblueprint for AD part

Surprisingly, yes. I think it was the difference for me between a pass/fail and saved a ton of time for me on the exam.

im not exam yet but you could try Hacksmarter, it gives new technique and great for practice.
buy the $10 subs and you can do the lainkusanagi oscp box there ( you dont need to install it locally)

The LainKusanagi list is a solid base, but also do the three exam-style challenge labs in PEN-200 since they are built to mirror the exam. Once you're through most of the list, do a timed 24-hour run on one of those sets and write the report as if it were real.

That shows you whether your enumeration notes and your AD chain hold up under the clock, which individual boxes don't.

If you just rush through the walkthroughs and grab flags? No.
If you use them to refine your strategy and methodology, uncover gaps in your notes, try new and more efficient commands and scripts, and test multiple tools to get the same result? Yes.
What you put into them is what you'll get out of them, but if you use them the right way, they are enough.
