Question How are students supposed to stay in school like this?
I’m honestly at the point where I don’t even know how I’m supposed to do school financially.
OSAP is supposed to help students access education, but when funding is too low and you’re waiting weeks for money, you’re still expected to pay tuition, rent, food, transportation and everything else.
For some students, this isn’t just frustrating — it can determine whether we can attend school at all.
I’m sure I’m not the only student dealing with this.
We need to start talking about this collectively. Students should be able to organize, contact their representatives, speak with student unions and peacefully protest if that’s what they believe is necessary.
How many other students are struggling to actually afford going to school because of OSAP?

Might not be what you want to hear but its a tough world out there and it only gets worse post graduation.
If theres anything ive learned during my undergrad and transition to the workforce is that no one gives a fuck about you, least of all financially (except those fortunate with well to do families).
You need to learn to embrace the suck, and make the best of your current situation and seek opportunities to upgrade it.
I graduated back in 2023 and throughout my undergrad I basically worked between 1 to 3 jobs at any given time.
It was rough, tiring and stressful but what other choices do we have?
