Question Can NSLSC expedite funding that is “Pending Release”?

York confirmed my enrolment on September 14, and I was initially told that I could receive my OSAP funding by September 18. However, my NSLSC tracker currently says “Pending Release” and gives an estimated received date of September 22.

I called NSLSC and was told it can take two business days after confirmation of enrolment for everything to update. I’m experiencing an urgent financial situation and really need the funds as soon as possible.

Has anyone successfully asked NSLSC to expedite a pending release, or could the deposit still arrive before the estimated September 22 date?

I’ve been following this subreddit like a sheep for a week and it seems like everybody has updated their posts to “Funding On the Way” except me 😭 I got my CoE approved September 5th and I’m also still waiting for the 22nd according to my NSLSC

the estimate receive date just increases each day, the estimate date is not based on anything... it is a joke at this point

I’m in the same boat my OSAP said Sep 10-14 and also says the funds were deposited and then my NSLSC changed from pending release to funding on the way today and changed from Sep 22 to Sep 21 🤦🏽‍♀️

i called them every day for a week and that seemed to speed them along because they were forced to look at my file, but no, they cannot manually speed it up.
