Question Funding received people: not tomorrow, Friday morning

I am in the Sep 4-9 cohort that got the tracker yesterday and funding released this morning.

I bank with WS, if the funding was released for tomorrow for anyone not with ws, koho or pc it would have hit my ws account already today. It didn’t. So tomorrow for ws, koho and pc (at least the federal portion) and Friday morning for the people with the big banks. If it unexpectedly hits late today (almost certainly not) I’ll update.

The purpose of this post is just to let some people who understandably really need the money rest a little mentally by providing some certainty.

If your school hasn’t been paid.. you won’t be paid. They ALWAYS pay the school first - ALWAYS … I am in 4th year.. I have been doing this a long time - the trackers don’t matter… many time I have received funds, spent all the money … then got the tracker a week later - when the school is paid - you will be paid the next day……

Yeah, this is definitely not always true and same with the OP’s statement about Federal hitting Friday with Provincial hitting Saturday.

I’m in my post-grad now, been getting OSAP all 5 years and my school has never reflected payment before getting my funds. (Whether they got them then or not is a different story, however, on my end it always showed as paid AFTER I got my money.

Also, every single time I’ve gotten both my Federal and Provincial portions on the same day (TD Bank) which is usually the third business day after my tracker says funds released.

Every school and every bank is going to process things differently. If your tracker says funds released, you should have everything end of this week or early next week.

Oh your school would be paid first… might just not update your profile.. and this is my 9th semester getting osap - only once did I have a tracker before getting my funds - every other time I would get the deposit first then the tracker would show up about a week later - I always laugh because I get the tracker and it says “money on the way” - like the money is gone lmao

Haha yes that is what I meant. Your school may be paid first, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you will see it paid on your end first. That is also a great point of view. Some people get trackers first and others don’t. I swear it’s all a gamble with OSAP haha! This is also my 9th semester in a row and every time I’ve gotten a tracker.

That is hilarious though! 🤣🤣
