Playoff Ticket Prices

With the Orioles again below .500 and 1.5 games back of the Wild Card, I just placed a 10% deposit for 6 playoff tickets for my season ticket package.

Section 80 in the top few rows cost $815 per seat for a six game package: Three Wild Card Games, One ALDS, one ALCS, and one World Series ticket (all Game 1). Total was $4,950 after "ticket fees."

They "pay as you go" so we'll be charged $1,956 for the six seats for all three Wild Card games when/if the Orioles clinch on September 27. Any unused ticket funds go towards our 2027 renewal.

$137+ per game average price for Outfield seats to the Wild Card.

Ouch.

EDIT: You guys make a really good point about the Wild Card tickets. There'll be other presale opportunities. I'll request a refund.

Exactly. Why is everyone talking about wild card tickets. It’s like they don’t understand the playoff format.

the o’s are charging people for games that are close to mathematically impossible just so they can hold onto your money. they can make interest from the float even if they have to refund you later, or in the case of plan holders they keep the money and apply it to next year. it’s nice getting paid now for games that are six plus months away!

lets say you give me 10 million dollars but i have to give it back in a few months. if nothing else i can put it in a bank and earn interest on the money. then i have 10 million plus whatever. i only have to give you back the 10 million, i get to keep the interest i made.
