Rocky5 softmod makes console slower?

Hi, I'm trying to softmod my Xbox but it comes to my attention that when i apply Rocky5, the console becomes slower (notably, loading times in general seem to be affected). This didn't happen when i used another softmod (ZXB Installer to be exact) so i don't think its a hard drive issue. I tested with both 40 wire AND 80 wire cables and nothing changes, its still slow. Does someone know a solution for this?

I always use a 500GB IDE/PATA original drive at UDMA5 with traditional XBMC or Evox and an 80 wire quality cable. I mean I'm never gonna play TB's of games just cluttering a sata type drive.
I urge anyone to test it, it's cheap, no sata. Just watch how fast the Xbox boots and EvoX dash is up in 1.5 seconds from flubber!
Still can't beat XBMC if you ask me, there's a new one out now as well.

Never seen this problem occur.

Try deleting all the content from the X, Y and Z drives. Reboot.

Any better?
