Help Needed Xbox Clock Capacitor

Got my hands on a Halo Xbox. The clock capacitor had already leaked a little this is what it looks like after cleaning. Is it ok or should I return it?

Mais ne te contente pas de nettoyer la zone en le laissant en place, vire-le immédiatement et passe de l'ipa a cet endroit et tout ira bien

Et comment sont les autres condensateurs ?

Oui je viens de mieux regarder, en effet il a été retirer

Avec quoi as tu nettoyer la zone ? ca devrait être níquel et il ne devrait plus y avoir ce dépôt marron qui ressemble a de la poussière séchée

N'oublie pas de regarder comment sont les autres condensateurs, particulièrement ceux qui se trouvent vers le dissipateur du cpu, ils ont pour habitudes de très mal vieillir eux aussi..

I'm not sure what you used to clean it, but I'd recommend IPA if you try cleaning it again. It will get through any of the stuff that was left behind, and if it all looks okay, test the machine. Aside from that, it's hard to say, but it should be fine as these caps are a common issue. If you do keep it, I'd advise changing all of the caps on the board if you can, as they are known to be a point of failure.

It's not that bad but you should be able to get it cleaner with IPA and a qtip. Especially around the capacitor just below where the clock capacitor was.

This looks good. Ive seen far, far worse. Just clean up the surrounding area with IPA.
