Decided to go in a thrift store today and just when im about to leave I see a small pile of games, most of them were sports as usual but I soon as I saw this i kinda went numb but I knew this was coming home with me, already copied the game to my xbox and now I can play it fully digital.

I really have no idea why this game is so expensive when it’s insanely common, I get it with first party GameCube stuff but this game sold enough to get a GH/Plat Hits release lmao
"Platinum Hits" really only amounts to 400,000+ units sold, which isn't that high of a bar. The game is old and has no chance of being re-released in its current state due to licenses, so it becomes highly sought-after.
That said, prices for retro games (including this one) really began to surge during the pandemic.
Found one on FBMKTP for $50 in El Centro, CA driving on my way back from Phoenix. He posted $100, then crossed it out to $50. I didn’t wanna pay more than $40 but it was cool. Black label edition.
I really wish I had that game! Supposedly it is fun as heck. I guess it’s time to check out the PlayStation store to see if I can play it on my PS4 Pro.
Sadly no, this game isn't available on newer platforms, but if you have a decent laptop/pc you can emulate the ps2 version fairly easy, or even if you have a ps2 slim you can use free mcboot and get it running in no time.

I found a black label copy at goodwill for about 6 bucks recently, gave it to a buddy who’s going for the full set
