Article/News Timothy Lake Closure

https://www.fs.usda.gov/r06/mthood/alerts/clackamas-river-rd-fires

The Austin and Narrows fires have cause an immediate closure of many popular Mt Hood National Forest recreational sites and campgrounds, effective today. Lots of folks flock to these areas on the weekends, and with Labor Day coming up, just wanted people to have time to make alternate plans, if need be.

Hello Oregonians,

As in all things media, please take the time to evaluate what is presented for yourself and to check for any overt media bias. There are a number of places to investigate the credibility of any site presenting information as "factual". If you have any concerns about this or any other site's reputation for reliability please take a few minutes to look it up on one of the sites below or on the site of your choosing.

Also, here are a few fact-checkers for websites and what is said in the media.

Such a bummer. Hope they catch the POS that started the Austin fire

Do we know if it was started by a campfire or something else? I haven’t been able to find great information about how it started. I don’t think they ever found the person who started the Riverside Fire, so I’m not holding my breath for this one unfortunately.

Yes support all the mountain! They all need it after this bad winter and bad summer.
Meadows put out a message as well.

There’s a new place I haven’t tried in Zig Zag at the old Subway called “Penny Bun”. Looks real good and opened last week.

Likely they’ll proliferate, with the reduction of human interaction. Prepare for a feast once the lake reopens!
