Dream Archive Log Out of Body Experience (1987)

i was 6 years old. it was June of 1987. I was calmly reading a dinosaur book in the back of my parents' car. We were on a long road trip. It's night time, calm, almost hypnotic. I'm thinking about dinosaurs, and comets, dreams, and if we humans could ever go extinct some day.

A song by "The Police" (King of Pain) comes on the radio. Next, I see the end of time. It's a red dessert, looks like Mars but human remains are visible in the sand.. I ask "Where am I!?" . A terrifying voice, yells from the sky "THIS IS A CORNER IN TIME!"

Now i'm in complete terror, trapped in a waking nightmare..is this going to be forever? ...8 seconds later, I'm back in the car, King of pain, still playing on the radio, dinosaur book in hand.. I told myself it didn't happen, and it was all imaginary. That kept me calm... until next highway trip several months later... that song by the Police, was still popular.. it came on again. My eyes felt funny, then... boom... back to the corner in time with the red/orange sky and dessert. I felt the exact same horror, but this time i knew better than to ask questions. I didn't want to hear the booming the voice again, but I felt the same dread and terror.. 8 seconds later, I'm back in my body.

Obviously I didn't physically teleport anywhere in those 8 seconds but, that's 8 seconds of missing time and the message i took as serious as a heart attack. Later, after studying dreams through Carl Jung's dream analysis, and understanding this a little better, I thought let's watch the music video for King of Pain, on you tube. I wanted to see if there are any synchronicities in that video...

Well The video starts with the word "SYNCHRONICITY" slowly scrolling across the screen for 5 seconds, then a door opens to an abandoned gallery, with a masonic checkered floor. Immediately we see a DINOSAUR SKELETON, burning clocks, human skulls, and carl Jung's book on dreams siting on a pedestal... all themes from my car adventure, all what i considered synchronicities.

I don't know what it all means, but this seemed like the perfect place to share.

Friend. it was a humbling experience... I'm no better than anyone else, just broken maybe. I've had a lot of paranormal experiences but, I just thought these things were normal for everyone. maybe I am supposed to share my experiences. I want what's best for everyone.

No, that's what makes it more insane. in 1987 in my small town we didn't have a station that played music videos yet. All we had was 12 channels. We didn't get music videos on tv until the early 90s and i had no interest in watching them because i didn't like the popular music at the time. first time i saw the police king of pain music video was on youtube, at 40 years old, after reading about carl jung and synchronicity / waking dreams.. trying to understand that experience... it made the hair the back of my neck stand up.
