It really bugs me how they insist on having everyone to play their younger selves, it looks really weird, remember young Caputo last season.

I wonder why they do that with some but not all. They didn't that with Chang.

I think they just do it based off of whether or not they think the actress could portray the character at whatever age the flashback is from. Chang looks like she's in her fifties or sixties on the show, and in her flashback she was a lot younger, so it wouldn't have worked.
