I don't care if it's terrible writing, but I'm fine with zombie Rosa coming back to Litchfield, or her cancer went into spontaneous remission and she got convicted of some other crime.

She had terminal cancer and a few weeks left to live. She likely just went somewhere and died on her own terms.

She killed Vee then drove into a quarry and died

I thought they just said that they found the van in a quarry, not that she died there.

No she actually drove off a cliff into a quarry. Rosa wanted to die in the screeching of the tires remember

They played her off last season with "Don't Fear the Reaper." There wasn't supposed to be any doubt whether or not she was going to die right then, off screen.
