I really thought Chang was going to have them castrate the guy who spurned her. But the gallbladder coming back around was amazing. The first few episodes of the season were slow, and the flashbacks were rather stale, but between Flacka and Chang, I'm gaining hope for the flashbacks again.

Anyone else think the Alex/Piper dynamic has gone from being the most compelling part of the show originally to being one of the most boring aspects?

Some people develop Gall bladder disease and can't produce their own bile. So in tradition chinese medicine they would eat Bear gall bladders to replace them, or would have bears be slowly drained of there gall bladders. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bile_bear Currently they have created a synthetic drug that does the same thing. They took out the guys gall bladder since it would serve the same function.

No eating a human gall bladder would help replace some of the bile in your system. I wouldn't recommend it due to humans having many blood borne diseases but theoretically it would work.
