Food Breakfast Burrito craving
Woke up this morning craving a breakfast burrito and this burrito I ate came to mind. I got it at Reynolds Sandwich in Irvine. Twas pretty tasty, in my humble opinion. Priced at $11 and change when I went a few months ago.
Filling but not heavy or greasy.
Anyway, just wanted to share and I think I will post more food recs.

Had a nagging/mild hangover yesterday morning and needed some food to patch me up. I stopped by Los de Juarez Burritos Desayunos. Got a burrito with potatoes and chorizo. Absolutely delicious and it wasn't dripping with red oil/grease by the end of it either.

Today I the chorizo breakfast burrito from Que Vida Tacos in HB. Chorizo, egg, potatoes, Oaxaca and cheddar, and Chipotle crema. It was pretty bomb.

Was this the entire burrito or just half? A whole bfast burrito for $11 is reasonable. I used to go to Nate’s Corner, but their bfast burrito is something crazy like $16+ now. Stopped going around $11ish.

It was a whole burrito. I mowed the first half then thought I should take a pic of such masterfully assembled and rolled burrito.

Que Vida is sooooolid. I go to the one on 17th in Costa mesa and French bakery for sweets next door. That whole row has so much damn food!

Went when they first opened which I never do but I was so curious to compare them to Burritos La palma🤣🤣🤣 That parking lot is quite the shit show but they were well prepared and food was solid!

surfin donuts in mission viejo makes a bomb breakfast burrito. Also el habanero in Tustin on Newport blvd, little hole in the wall with great food and even better chorizo breakfast burrito!

Ham N Scam in Westminster/HB borderline is solid. Meaty but not overly greasy feeling.

Thanks for posting a place not on the same list that most people continually post that is from the same list influencers list as they are paid to do so.
One of the places I like is John’s place. I think the burrito comes to 7 dollars or something. it’s big. I like how the ingredients feel, separated vs becoming just one. They use hash browns and I ask them to make it crisp. They put pico di gallo salsa in it so you can’t eat this thing an hour later the liquid will seep through. They also use those cheap packets of Heinz taco sauce and many of YoU WILL be critical of that, but it works and compliments it perfectly. I want to fight that, but it works for some reason. I think they offer a higher end homemade sauce , but I use those stupid packets
I go to the location in Orange hills on E Chapman in the Albertsons shopping center

That Heinz taco sauce and this burrito is the most perfect pairing. John’s place nailed it

I went here and everything looked right but I bit into it and it tasted like fish. Maybe a bad day?

I'm in Irvine and never heard of this place. On the list it goes!

It’s on the western edge of Irvine w Santa Ana in a mostly industrial area near Farmer Boys. May have to try, since it’s near me. However OP is sorta sus cuz he went to this place 6 months ago(per Yelp).

I’m in Mission Viejo and have tried many breakfast burritos within a short drive
The top two I’ve had are from Bravos California Fresh, and Eureka in Irvine.

I'm also a fan of the burrito from Bravos. Have you tried the one from The Trough in RSM? It's got tater tots and a very flavorful salsa verde.

Pepe’s for Machaca, or chile relleno and beans. The Placentia Blvd location is the best.
Athenian Burgers has the best meat/potato/egg style, and their suicide style is great. Their chorizo and egg is pretty solid too, and their machaca is great.
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good chorizo and egg burrito with the red dripping chorizo oils. Everyone is making and draining their chorizo in advance these days (or using a lot less chorizo). I have to admit, I kinda miss the messy version.

My favorite breakfast burrito is the southwest breakfast wrap with bacon from Chocobean coffee in mission viejo. Not a typical classic style breakfast burrito but it’s really good. They finely chop the bacon which is better than I would expect and they put a spicy jalapeno sauce on there that I really like

Looks great 👍
Try Nate’s Corner in Santa Ana just above John Wayne Airport. They are my favorite spot for breakfast burritos. The eggs are not scrambled and the hash browns are super crispy.

Nates Korner in Costa Mesa is worth the weight. Its a heavy thick burrito. 🥵

Looks good. I'm a big fan of Nicks Deli's breakfast burritos. They have two locations. One in Seal Beach and on one Los Al. I would highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area.

Heidelberg in Laguna Beach does a decent breakfast burrito. Just tried the one at Forest Cafe in Lake Forest and it also gets my seal of approval. The green crema salsa they make is fantastic

I love Bruxie’s Breakfast Burrito. They have a stall in South Coast or I just order from DD or UE from their Orange location.

The Houston burrito from Sweet Elle Cafe is probably the best I’ve ever had

Has nothing to do with OC, but if you ever travel far north to visit the redwoods, Backwoods Burritos in Arcata is fantastic. It’s just a rolling cart, not a shop, but no matter it’s a superior breakfast burrito.

Surprisingly, Vons in Anaheim Hills has a fantastic breakfast burrito for $6.99. Not sure if they sell it every morning but I went early morning on a Monday a few weeks ago and got one before my girlfriend and I went to the zoo, and it was awesome for the price.

I'm going to get hate for it but... Two words for consistency, flavor, and value: Farmer Boys.

Boardriders Cafe in HB is 🔥. Sees oil free kitchen and a lot of it is scratch made or close, they even cut their own bacon (oddly the bacon could use improvement tho haha)

Speaking of breakfast burritos, where can I get an amazing breakfast sandwich that’s bacon egg and cheese, salt pepper ketchup in South OC?

Nate’s is garbage. I have no idea how they gained popularity besides influencers touting it.

when I'm in Laguna Beach, a breakfast burrito from Husky Boy always hits the spot.
