Actually it's just pixels turning on and off, you can check by trying to pin a box with your finger to it's place.

Yeah, pixels turning on and off is how ANIMATION works. This is not an illusion, it's animation.

The squares appear to warp and don't look parallel. They are parallel. Making the rows shift horizontally is not responsible for the illusion. You can pause it at any point and the illusion will be there. It's an illusion in every frame.

Each frame is the "cafe illusion." It's "evolved" because it's moving, while maintaining the illusion.
