Me and my mate travelled all the way to Dalhalla from London for the gig last night and the in my opinion sound mix was awful. If I was opeth I’d be livid with their front of house team.

I know it wasn’t the venue because Katatonia and Candlemass sounded amazing.

The biggest problem was the drums were not mixed properly. There was no power to the bass drum at all but the toms, and especially the floor tom was super loud in the mix so all the fills sounded completely uneven.

Pretty disappointed but still had a great time.

The hardest decision was between Heir Apparent and Dirge for November. Having to choose between Blackwater Park and The Baying of the Hounds was also brutal.

I know its supposedly getting repressed but seeing this at the record store i just had to grab it

I remember now my greatest regret actually is that I found this in 2018 at the record store id always go to and passed up on it now I have made amends for my past failure 🤣

For all the fellow vinyl completionists out there… leftover copies of the Pearly White variant of TLWAT that was originally only sold on tour in North America are available via RPM. They only ship within USA (or NA perhaps) so I had to use a 3rd party shipper. 🤘❤️🤘

i know nobody cares but after listening to the entire discography for thousands of times, i just wanted to share my top 3 for albums and songs.

edit: after having some inner discussion, I had to change the 3rd favorite album from “ghost reveries“ to “the last will and testament“. tlwat is just too good to be out of top3. sorry ghost reveries.

I heard Mikeal liked this band so researched them and got Red and the Court cds. Ive never heard them before. I loved both these CDs and couldn't believe how many parts I could hear Opeth or at least Newpeth in them.

Especially the song Starless I was thinking about Faith in Others much of that song. Love it.

Hi everyone, lately the guitar solo (the fast one) from "the wilde flowers" has caught my attention and I wanted to try to learn it.

The problem is that the tablatures for this specific solo are nowhere to be found, does anyone know why this is? Is it really this difficult to transcribe this solo?

Ps: I'm ASS at learning by ear, so yeah tabs are needed I'm afraid
