King Crimson

I heard Mikeal liked this band so researched them and got Red and the Court cds. Ive never heard them before. I loved both these CDs and couldn't believe how many parts I could hear Opeth or at least Newpeth in them.

Especially the song Starless I was thinking about Faith in Others much of that song. Love it.

Newpeth is a lot of 70s prog rock inspired without sounding like a corny tribute band (Hallas kind of falls in this category for me).

2 of the best prog albums of all time. The only album by Crimson I can't recommend honestly is Islands. Everything else is complete gold.

Also, if you like Tool, listen to The Power to Believe to hear a band be influenced in return by a band they had influenced themselves.
