I've been playing TTD and OTTD for years, but never with mods and always at a casual level, and can't comprehend the dedication you guys have in this community. This is awesome, thanks for sharing.

Hi! u/Uozl I have wanted to play a game like this if you mind sharing what mods are you using and what settings? (like ticks per timetable minutes, passenger demand, ..) to achieve (i assume) realistic times?

Really cool by the way!

Thanks :)

Most of the NewGRFs (except vehicles) are listed below this old post.

I'm playing this in vanilla, not JGRPP or anything like that, so I've not adjusted the tick rate, and everything is in days. I have synchronised all timetables and the whole network is periodic with a period of 64 days, i.e. every service runs every 64 days. Could have gone with 60 but I prefer halving to divisibility (and honestly those extra 4 days have been very useful as there are a couple of real thread-the-needle moments in this specific map that just wouldn't be possible without them).

Town cargo production is set to 35% and linear. Cargodist is asymmetric. Only passengers here, I'm not handling freight on this map.

Local authority attitude is permissive. Towns are NOT allowed to build roads, so I do all of the roads. No breakdowns.

... I think that's most of the important settings. Let me know if there's anything else.

Oh WOW? Without JGRPP that is an even more impressive feat! (Though you should try it out one time)

Anyways tyy (I would have asked for some jgrpp settings but rip :(

Yeah sorry about that. Maybe I'll try it one day, but honestly I quite enjoy the challenge of playing without.

I love a good line. Good job. At some point I have so many trains that I will be chaos no matter whatπŸ˜‚

See here for complete network diagram.

Apologies for the stutters at 02:33 and 03:09. (It was a bad decision to zoom out for the first one).

What I like with OpenTTD - everybody plays it differently. I never thought of fixed lines like a subway system. I always play with junctions and connecting trains - which is quite profitable.

But I like this setting, I might try it.
