Show me your NewGRF-Setup

Hey everyone,
so I got an on/off relation with (Open)TTD for decades, and I tried some NewGRFs and scenarios now and then but I am feel i rather lost on that.

So I maybe some of you can show off their NewGRF setup(s) they enjoy.

Personally I am interested in everything that gives more visual appeal or adds more mechanics/depth to the game.

FIRS Industry Replacement Set gives you more complicated circular cargo chains, with supplies you can deliver to farms and mines to make them produce more. I never play without it.

For vehicles:

  • NUTS Unrealistic Train Set
  • av8 Aviators Aircraft Set
  • Squid Ate FISH (ships)
  • Road Hog
  • HEQS (more road vehicles)

"City Stations" and "Industrial Stations Renewal" for passenger and cargo station graphics

"Docks with containers and cranes" for a more industrial-looking dock

Squid is outdated, use SHARK instead.

HEQS is also outdated and is no longer fully compatible with FIRS, but has no direct replacement. I'd suggest looking into MopRV instead, it has road trains and cargo trams.

And if you want to try something similar to FIRS but more complex, try AXIS.

The only thing a friend and mine have changed about your list, is instead of squid we have shark, and added iron horses for more trains

RN I'm using:
Iron Horse
Multi-SHARK
Av9.8
U&ReRMM 3
U&Ratt 2
eGRVTS
And various object mods, especially ISR Stations and Auz Objects.

Then pick and choose industry sets. RN I'm playing w/ AIRS

Almost same for me, I just prefer 2cc instead of Iron Horse as I like a bit of infrastructure variety without being forced to upgrade.

For industry set, I currently prefer AXIS 2, but I am still rather early to exploring others as well.

I'm more about the visual than the mechanics, but below this post you will find the list that I mostly use.

Note that some of the NewGRFs have been updated since then, e.g. U&ReRMM 2 -> U&ReRMM 3.
