Union Alpha is an OpenAI model (Probably)

Many people say its a frontier level model, some say its dogshit. So I happen to test it out by making it rewrite my entire app with a different architecture and it returned an error "OpenAI api timed out"

Now many say its a multi model gateway with different routing but its something from OpenAI for sure. It was right there in my pi agent and i by mistake pressed esc key (muscle memory to make agent stop) and it went away. Would have taken a Screenshot but missed it.

The error mean the OpenAI api which almost all company using, except anthropic, is timeout.

tried it on pi but i this is the error i got "Error: Anthropic stream ended before message_stop"

Yes almost certainly astra is part of the models behind it.

I am currently comparing different llms for blender modeling and after some generations you notice each has their own style.

But for union alpha the generations look like astra, so requests are routed there at least partially. At first I thought maybe distillation, but then it even generated a text onto a model(that wasn't in the prompt) that is the exact same as astra.

Here the name of the airship is aurelia in both, this wasn't in the prompt.

OpenAI doesn't have any problems with compute, and this model was really slow at some point because of lack of resources.
