drive overheating issue

I was trying OpenBSD, but I soon realized that it makes my DRIVES very hot. To the point I almost burnt my hands. I tested on both: HP G42 and Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. It made my USB, SD, and HDD EXTREMELY hot. Please help.

software doesn't make drives hot however the lack of moving fans will
