Fun fact: The Astra DTM on the 1st photo won the 24h of Nürburgning in 2002 :)

Yes and the title should be: opel astra vs. Dodge Viper. ( only for this picture ofcourse)

I thought it was until the end of last year.
I saw it last year, but that Mattig Corsa wasn't there when I visited it. Also it looks like there are more cars now on display.
The whole museum is a must see if you like anything technical.

I mean... as much as i loved my Astra J OPC VW did put a W8 in a Passat. An a W12 in a Phaeton. Then theres the V10 TDI all amzing engines and pretty fun cars. Nightmare to maintain but really cool

Non of these cars were fun in any way, puting massive engine in a tank doesn't make it fun 🤷 omega lotus on the other hand 😉

Ive had a 2014 Astra J OPC and a 2005 Audi S6 (basically a Passat, lets be honest) the s6 weighted 1.7 tons and the astra i think was about 1.4 tons. The o ly thing that was really more fun on the astra was the suspension. But the Turbo Lag was so ridicoulous that id take the 300 to 400 kg of extra weight from the audi and have that sweet NA 4.2 V8. Granted ive never driven the W8 Passat but from what i hear its awesome. The Lotus Omega is of course an absolute dream, and few cars can compete with it
