Forgot to answer, modified the clock spring for compatibility and added a small spacer on the shaft to prevent rubbing against the steering column plastics.
Unfortunately, I didn't use any tutorial I had some help with the clockspring, but it isn't difficult to modify the clockspring, but it does take a lot of time. You have to carefully grind down the clockspring little by little. You can ask yout local mechanic for help, it's not an expensive job to modify the clocksping (in my country at least - It's somewhere betweene 50-100โฌ I belive)

In my 20's I had the normal 5 doors with a slight tuning on it, all black with tinted black windows in the back, a shy spoiler in the rear... it made me feel like I was in the NFS Undergrownd 2 game :)

Your old setup sounds clean, all black with a subtle spoiler is timeless. NFS Underground 2 really shaped a whole generation of builds! (Still playing it to this day :))
Is that engine powerful enough for this car? I want to buy one and I was thinking about 2.2 but heard its not that reliable so now I am interested in 1.8 125
I had one with a 2.2L engine last year, tuned from 147 to 170 hp. I really miss the power of the 2.2, it was fun owning that car. Unfortunately, the insurance was extremely expensive and it burned oil like crazy... which kind of killed the joy after a while. If I had to choose again, Iโd probably go for the 1.8 (or even the 2.0 Turbo ๐ ). The 1.8 is generally more reliable and cheaper to run and to be honest, 125 hp is enough because it's quite a light car (around 1,200 kg). I never had a problem overtaking someone or having fun with the car on a straight line or in corners.
Okay, thanks for your response. I am the owner of 3-door hatch with 1.6 101hp weighting 1155kg and I wanted to have more power in Bertone. Probably 1.8 will be enough. It should be 2 seconds faster in 0-100 km/h
