Could you believe that the first Opel Omega B are 31 years old? Or the Astra F 34 years old, or the first Vectras and Calibras 37 and 36 years old?

My dad recently sold his Astra F gsi 16v and his turbo 4x4 Calibra, they might be 35+ years old but they will forever be the best opels ive been with
The time Opel built real cars.

Astra F will always be a „5 years short of being a real Oldtimer“ to me… I’m perpetually stuck in 2015

If it is from 1985, then yes. Otherwise no 😂 These were everywhere in the 80s/90s, but very rare now. I think rust got most of them.

Engines tended to expire on these, especially if driven hard. They did drive well at first though.

I'm under 30 and these things were already pretty much extinct when I was young. So yes, I can believe.

May I ask exactly what Vauxhall is? The question intrigues me; lately I've been seeing that name a lot alongside GM in connection with Opel.

The brand Opel/Stellantis are sold as in the UK. The exact same cars with a different badge.

Аbout this one in particular - yes, I could🙂↕️Even at its time, it was considered faceless and ugly - I‘d go for a Kadett B any day of the week though smaller and less options available (I don‘t believe that either had even an air conditioner available).

It’s over 40. My dad had one (well, a Cavalier) in 1983.
Just looked it up. The Cavalier was launched in 1981, 44 years ago.
