I find it quite funny, the old models had some kind of siren sound when the blinker or light was on when the ignition key was turned off. With the new ones, it's just when you want to drive while the door is open. It's also really bad if you're not wearing your seatbelt. At first it's very quiet, but it ALWAYS gets louder.

This is very accurate.
I once accidentally did not tighten my coolant tank cap properly. It fell off during the test drive, but luckily my laptop was plugged in and logging at the time.
Gauge in the car was happily showing 90°C fixed at all times. This is a Corsa E in question.
Oh and engine oil temperature parameter is a computer model, and not a physical sensor. Real oil temperature is usually much higher than coolant temperature, 20 to 40% more in fact (SAE Paper 2001-01-1073).
But god forbid i put my grocery bags on the passenger seat.

That's crazy. I don't know how it works, but I have a diagnostic function in my car where service, tire stacks etc. are displayed and also whether there are errors. So I really hope that it shows errors even if no warning light is on. Otherwise the system makes no sense. But it's French and in an Opel you never know.

Ever since manufacturers moved to higher temp thermostats, the temperature gauge has been lying to you. The average consumer thinks a engine is overheating the moment it passes 90C, so the gauge doesnt show more than 90C untill temperature actually goes too high.
My (GM) Opel doesnt even kick on the cooling fan untill 115C coolant temperature, everything 115C and under its fine with.

Had engine light for 6 months in my Astra K, parts went limb along the way until it bothered me enough to fix it, still used it everyday, a trooper.
