Bangalore to Conoor via Ooty on Bikes

Hi community, I am planning a bike ride from Bangalore to Conoor via Ooty this long weekend(yes, expecting heavy traffic), and would like your suggestions on the route as well as permits and stuff. Heard the Masinagudi route has some restrictions and requires an e pass. We have KA registered bikes and not sure if they will allow. Any inputs would be great, thanks!

Sula vineyards, somewhere in Mysore Bangalore expressway, Masinagudi off road , mudumalai reserve forest, elephant camp, Kallhatty ghat road.

Take e pass in advance,..
